My Weekend In Charlotte

Caution: This post contains an immense amount of adorable baby photos. Brace yourself.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic holiday weekend with lots of bbq and good ole Memorial Day sales! I also hope everyone takes out a few moments, to remember and honor those who have fought tirelessly and with such bravery to defend our country

This holiday weekend I was blessed to be able to had up to Charlotte to see my best friends baby, Cecelia. She made her grand entrance into the world a month ago and I having been itching to meet my precious niece! Needless to say, this past weekend was wonderful... I am completely in love with this little bundle of joy!

I got in around 9pm on Friday evening. Justin (Hayley's husband) had cooked some fish on the grill for dinner. Now, I'm not a person who like fish... I mean I pretty much only eat shrimp... However, I decided to give his a try. Oh. My. Gosh. It was delicious! I asked him for the recipe so I can share it with you guys!

On Saturday we had a pretty lazy afternoon full of precious baby snuggles!

Excuse my rough looking self.. but this picture was too cute not to post. #BabyAndAnimalWhisper

After Justin got home we cooked some tacos and decided to watch Hercules.

Sunday morning, Sweet Cillie I and enjoyed some bonding time over African tea on the back porch while Haley got a little more sleep. Don't worry, I told her she had to wait a few years for the African tea...

After Haley woke up we made a delicious breakfast.

Haley had asked me Saturday if I would be willing to take their newborn family photos, of course I said yes! So after Breakfast I watched Cillie while Justin and Haley got ready for pictures.

She was listening to every word I had to say

After pictures we spent what little time we had left of my visit enjoying each others company.

I hated saying goodbye... It's hard telling people you dearly love "see you later" and knowing it could be months before you see them again. Hopefully, we can make it a priority to see each other at least once a month. Fingers crossed!

I hope everyone has a Blessed week and I'll be back Friday with a Pupdate!

Pupdate

Okay, all I'm going to say is that it's a miracle I've managed to make it to Friday... I haven't had a week this hard in a long time. As of today I have worked a 55 hour work week. So I'm literally screaming, THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY! To relive some of the stress from this crazy week, I have decided to head up to Charlotte for the weekend to see my sweet little Cillie Bug! I can't wait to meet my precious little niece! Anyways, I thought I would make everyones' Friday a little more sweet with a Pupdate!

Weeks: five weeks and six days old
Food: He is now eating puppy food! Well, puppy food and nursing... He's not ready to give up the good stuff yet.
Milestones: It's still important for him to be getting positive human interaction. He is also walking around more and learning social skills from his litter mates
Personality: He's a mellow puppy and as sweet as can be!
How I'm Feeling: Seriously, June 6th cannot get here fast enough!

Guys I seriously can't handle the cuteness!

I hope you all have a Fantastic weekend!

Vacation Bliss

Ahhhhh.... I finally found the perfect location for mine and Bethany's beach vacation. After searching for about a week a friend at work recommended Ocean Park Resort in Myrtle Beach. So, naturally I went home and looked it up and quickly realized this would be a perfect option for us!

They have beautiful rooms, fantastic prices and to top it all off, they allow fur babies!

I can't wait to wake up and drink coffee while sitting on the balcony overlooking the Ocean. I also can't wait for naps. Lots and lots of naps in this big king size bed. Heaven.

Hello all day reading area.

You know, instead of me showing y'all all these pictures, how about I just let you watch the cheesy resort video. Enjoy!

I seriously don't know how I'm going to wait until August. The countdown is on!

Now we just need some fantastic food recommendations in the Myrtle beach area. Do you guys have any suggestions?
