The Weekend Diaries: Christmas Style

So, I am going to be cliche here and say, I can't believe Christmas is already over! I mean in three days it will be a completely new year. What. In. The. World. I'm blown away by how fast this year has flown by... Well, I guess I better get started on how fast my weekend flew by. This Christmas weekend can be described in three ways, Christmas parties, pajamas, and lots of Sherlock. I'm going to be honest with you all, I was incredibly lazy this holiday weekend. But hey, we all deserve some laziness every now and then, right?

Wednesday

Christmas Eve! Every Christmas Eve, with have Christmas with me grandparents on my mothers side. Tradition goes as follows; eat, take crazy family pictures, open presents, and then laz around watching Christmas movies. I would say we were pretty successful in following those traditions, wouldn't you?

 Kate, was officially done! lol.

 Papa

 Granny

After relaxing for little while, we had another family dinner to attend. This one was for one of my great grandmothers. I wasn't able to snap hardly any pictures due to one of my cousins having a seizure; However, I did manage to get a couple of my adorable, little cousins opening their gifts!

That was a REALLY long day. So, after my great grandmothers dinner, we all went to my Nana's and crashed.

Thursday

Christmas day is here! Christmas day we have to be at my mema's by 12 in the afternoon. Anyone who knows my family, knows what a struggle that can prove to be. Luckily, we made it there a whole five minutes early!

 My parents

mema

Me and my big, crazy, family!

The great grand kids with mema. Missing two.

After leaving my mema's, I went home, changed into my pajamas, watched yet another Christmas movie, and then headed to Bethany's for a Christmas pajama party!

Bethany's dad, Johnny, was passed out from a long hard day of doing nothing.

The very "last minute" decorations

The food

and lastly, the pajamas!

 Wesley being a goof...

 Game time!

Sarah, Wesley, Sean, Mallory, Me, Bethany.

One word, Hilarious.

After our night of too much food, cozy Pj's, and one LONG game of monopoly, it was time for me to pick up my sisters, and head to Stacy's house. I have the pleasure of house sitting for her this week!

 Bailey, loves my sisters!

Friday

Friday was a lazy day, full of watching Sherlock and running few errands.

Saturday

Okay, so here is where you start to see a pattern... Yet again, I did pretty much nothing... lol. I spent all day watching reruns of Sherlock. You can also see that I have a huge obsession with Sherlock. In case you were wondering, this is actually my second time watching all the episodes. They're just too good, people! P.S. You can find them all on Netflix. #you'rewelcome

At least I managed to snap a picture!

Later on that evening, me, my sisters and Bethany, all went to see Into The Woods. I really liked the movie; However, they changed a few things and I will say, I did not like the route they took. You will just have to watch it and tell me what you think.

Sunday

Yet another day spent watching Sherlock.... I think I may have a problem... Seriously though, who could resist these faces and their amazing knack for solving mysteries... I sure can't.

At around 3:00, it was time for me to get ready for my besties Christmas dinner. Man, was it a good time!

If you can't tell, mustaches were a popular theme...

Funny story: Bethany had gotten a really pretty constellation necklace for Christmas. As we were discussing it, I heard a loud pop sound. The next thing I knew, the Christmas tree is falling towards me. I went into panic mode. "what do I do?" "There's no possible way for me to move out of this tree's way" So, I did what and good citizen would do, I caught the tree... However, I was not expecting that thing to weigh a good 500 pounds! So, I guess it was more like I tried holding the tree up, in hopes of not being squashed like a bug. Thank God, Sarah and Bethany got there fast!

Rest in peace, dear Christmas tree...

How was everyone's Christmas break?? I hope your Monday is short and sweet! :)

The Weekend Diaries

Merry Christmas week, y'all! Going in to work today at 6:30 am is proving to be a tragedy in my life. Seriously guys, all I want to do is sleep in, drink hot coco and watch Christmas movies ALL day. Oh well, I guess that will have to wait until Wednesday. This weekend was jam packed with "Christmasy" activities. Lets kick it off with an ugly Christmas sweater party.

Friday

Friday was Jessie's 12th birthday, and that evening she was invited to one of her good friends Ugly Christmas sweater party. Now, every one of these parties I have ever been to, it's a competition of who has the ugliest sweater. So of course, me being the competitive person I am, went a little crazy with Jessie's Christmas sweater...

Epically tacky!

After dropping Jessie off at the party, Amy, Katie and I discovered this awesome house, that went all out with their Christmas decorations.

After checking out the house, we went home for a relaxing evening, being lazy in front of the TV.

Saturday

Lazy day!I pretty much did nothing on Saturday during the day, as you can tell from this picture.

This is what we call our "crazy, Saturday morning, hair picture."

Saturday night, I decided to make myself human and go see The Hobbit with Bethany and her boyfriend, Joey. I had been putting off seeing the Hobbit due to the fact that it's the last movie of the series... I have been in love with The Lord of the Rings movies/books for 10 years. I have grown up with this fandom, and was absolutely heart broken to be watching the final movie... Needless to say, I pretty much went through a whole box of tissues... #uglycryalltheway In case you are wondering, the movie did not disappoint. Peter Jackson and each cast member did a phenomenal job.

After getting home from the movie, I walked in to find my sweet little Amy running a 102.5 temperature. Poor little thing has the flu...

Sunday

Sunday, after church we had our Christmas dinner with my Nana! I'll let the pictures do the talking.

The yummy food!

Enjoying the food

Funny story: Austin had gotten this hat for Christmas. Well, Brittany asked if she could try it on. After putting it on, she said, "Oh, now I'm a gangster" well Jessie said, "let me act like I'm afraid of you!" This was the masterpiece that was then created! I find it sooo funny!

 Her facial expressions kill me

 Pa

 Ma

So, the way to my heart is through sweat shirts and comfy pants...

 Poor baby!

 Nana loves the shirt!

 And mouse pad

Showing off our new Christmas pins!

So, Jessie get's her stocking full of goodies. Well, one of the items inside is this fake hair, aka weave. Jessie pulls it out of her stocking and exclaims, "Oh my gosh Nana, You got me weave!" she was SO excited! She kept on and on, telling our grandmother thank you. Then she proceeds to say, "this is just unbeweaveable!" I lost it! Who thinks up stuff like that to say??? It was so incredibly funny!

After our Christmas party, the family decided to take a trip to see Christmas lights. But before we went, this girl need some caffeine to keep her going.

Praise God for Starbucks!

Nothing like some Christmas lights to get you in the Holiday spirit!

Austin & Brittany

Jessie, Katie, Diamond (Zeke's girlfriend) &Zeke.

Whelp, that's it for this festive weekend! What did you guys do??
