The Weekend Diaries

Is it just me, or are the days flying by?? Last I remember, December had just started and now there are only 10 days left until Christmas! Say what??? Oh well, I guess that's how the holidays roll. I would also like to say, I'm sorry I didn't get a blog post up on Thursday. I made a vow when I started this blog, I wouldn't allow it to take away from my life. Thursday, my little sister Katie, needed some sister time, so we went to Hobby Lobby! Now let's get to this weekend. This weekend was full of movies, weddings, catching up with good friends, and loving on sweet babies!

Friday

Okay, have you ever been in dead sleep, then jolted awake, only to discover that you have woken up an hour past your normal wake up time? That's what happened to me Friday... I'm normally up and going by 5:00 am; However, I didn't wake up until 5:45am. so there I was, crazy haired, makeup barely on my face, and shoes only halfway on my feet, walking into work... Hey, sometimes life gets the best of us. To make my day a little better, Chanda let me make a quick run to Starbucks. Best. Boss. Ever.

It's amazing what caffeine can do!

After work, Bethany and I met up for a friend date, which was long over due. We were talking and realized, we hadn't had a friend date in about six months. She and I started off our night with a little shopping and then went to see the new movie Exodus. Like every Hollywood movie, Exodus had it's flaws... but over all, I thought they did a pretty decent job with it. :)

 Mmmm, dinner!

 Saturday

Saturday my sweet cousin Brittany got married to the man of her dreams. She and Joe have been together for seven years and couldn't be more perfect for one another.

Just look at that smile guys.

Instead of doing sand, they chose to create a painting together. How cool is that?

Totally loved the coffee bar idea!!

Look who caught the bouquet!

Brit, your wedding was stunning! I had such a wonderful time seeing you say I do to the man of you dreams. I wish you both all the happiness in the world. Oh, and I'll never forget dancing the night away with you guys! I love you!

Sunday

On Sunday, my mom's church was having special Christmas program which featured a few of my good friends. Let me just say, they did a phenomenal job! They kept the audience completely drawn in and got the message of Christ delivered in a unique way. I loved it!

After church, I met up with one of my best friends Haley, who was in town for the weekend. Haley moved to NC about three years ago, and I'm not going to lie, it hasn't been easy. I miss her dearly but it makes the time I do get to spend with her all the more special. And Que the bestie selfies.

We spent hours walking, talking, and singing around one of our local parks. It was so wonderful. I absolutely hate that she has to leave today... :(

After our park adventure, we went to see Haley's brother, Dustin (who is also a really good friend of mine) and his newest addition, little miss Kami. Warning: Immense amounts of adorable baby pictures ahead.

 My favorite. :)

Super baby!

I love all babies, but there is something so special about holding the baby of a friend who is dear to your heart. Dustin is the first one of my close friends to have a baby, and it's a whole different level of love. :) If you can't tell, I already adore this little Miss.

Man, what a fantastic weekend this was. How was your weekend?
