The Weekend Diaries

Happy Monday my fellow peoples! Wow, oh wow, this week has been full of so many surprises and awesome new opportunities, which I seriously can't wait to tell you all about. However, If I were to try and tell you about them all and do a weekend recap, we would be here ALL day and I'm sure you don't want me talking your ears off.  So, I'll jump right into this weekends adventures!

AVENGERS, AVENGERS, AVENGERS!! Oh. My. Word. This movie was everything I had hoped for. I was beginning to get a little worried after seeing a few people post about how much they disliked Age of Ultron, but if you cant tell, I think they did a spectacular job. The casting for the new characters is spot on! I mean Elizabeth Olson did an amazing job as the Scarlet Witch! If you get the chance, go see it.

After having a sleepover with Bethany, we decided to wake up and tackle some shopping. I have been in some serious need of cute, summery shirts. As simple as it sounds, finding cute, summer tops was just about impossible. Luckily, Old Navy had my back! I found two shirts and a beautiful Necklace. After our long day of searching, we decided to hit up Starbucks during their happy hour! I mean how can you turn down half priced Frappuccinos?? As soon as we pulled up I saw a poster for a S'mores frapp. OH. MY. GOSH. That thing is soooo good! Do yourself a favor and give one a try.

Sunday, I woke up and headed to church where we had an awesome service!

Before church selfie because I was feeling really pretty. #noshameinmygame
By the way, this was one of the Shirts and the necklace I picked up from Old Navy.

After church Bethany and I decided to spend the day hanging with the girls. After much deliberation, we finally choose to watch a movie on Netflix called Camp.

When the movie first started I thought it was going to be a one of those really cheesy movies with awful acting. I couldn't have been more wrong... Well, there was still bad acting, but the message of the movie was so good... It was about children who are emotionally broken, attending a summer camp. This camp was a place where those children could go to feel safe, loved, and accepted. It shows the struggles and fears that so many children in America are faced with. But what really broke my heart is at the end of the movie I figured out that it is based on actual events. #cueemotionalbreakdown So many children all over the world are hurting so deeply. I wish I could just take each and every one of those hurting children and simply love them.

After the movie can you guess where we headed?? That would be Starbucks... I'm telling you guys, I can't get enough of this Frapp!

Then we took it old school for supper and made some delicious pigs in a blanket.

That was it for my weekend! What did you do?

  1. You look so beautiful in your selfie!!!
I really liked Avengers & LOVED the twins. Quicksilver was my favorite... so yeah.... #nospoilers
I need to go to Old Navy - I'm on the hunt for good summer tops.

    1. Aw! Thank you so much!
Girl, we have so much in common! I was so excited to see that they were going to be continuing the Avenger series. However, I'm not to excited for the new Captain America... It's going to be a tear jerker..
Old Navy usually has some of the best selections. I don't know why I don't just try them first every time. lol.

  2. Such a fun weekend! A s'mores frapp?!? Sounds amazing... and dangerous!
